Gone With The Wind looks superb on blu ray, the ultra resolution process used by Warner has produced outstanding detail levels which breathes new life into the original cinematography, it now looks like film.

Saw VI was considered a disappointment at the box office where it came up against the surprise hit of the year, Paranormal Activity, because of it’s failure the makers have decided that the next film will be made in 3D.

I don’t like the UK or American editions of The Office but i thought Steve Carell was perfect casting for the role of Agent 86 Maxwell Smart and he played the role nicely.

The Strangers cost $9 million dollars to make and grossed around $82 million worldwide. The film itself is an effective thriller with a good music score and an excellent sound mix.

This film contains a lot of computer graphic effect shots and i thought the image quality for this type of film was excellent. I saw no compression issues or other problems with the transfer.

I found the film rivetting and Cruise’s performance was excellent. The supporting cast also did a fine job and Bryan Singers direction was good.

The original plot was to have featured Godzilla as an ancient creature that protects the Earth and only awakens when the planet is threatened.

A huge improvement over the old DVD edition of this movie but unfortunately the film has suffered far too much digital noise reduction.

The screencaps should give you an idea of how good this film looks in high definition and i think it looks gorgeous.
