Blu Ray Screencaps – Dead Snow

Regarding the Dead Snow image quality i am disappointed to find this disc has been mastered at 25fps instead of the usual 24fps and as a result it runs approx four minutes faster than the cinema release.

Blu Ray Screencaps – Blood: The Last Vampire

There are some really well choreographed action scenes in this movie and the highlight for me was the attack by the ninja vampires against Kato in the forest scene, that scene is wonderfully shot and executed.

Blu Ray Screencaps – 2012

This film centres around the end of the Mayan calendar on the 21st of December 2012 in which the doomsayers would tell you the end of the world will happen, of course the Mayan calendar does indeed end but it actually starts right back up again.

Blu Ray Screencaps – CutThroat Island

I spent a lot of money importing the Japanese DVD with full bitrate DTS several years back and i have been able to carefully compare that release with this one. The DVD suffers from a bit too much noise and edge enhancement but equally the blu ray suffers from just a little bit too much DNR, its clean alright but too smooth and to me a little processed looking, high definition for sure but i’d rather they kept more of the fine film grain intact.
