A massive space battle takes place over the skies of Coruscant as the war between the Republic and Separatists continues, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, lead a rescue mission to free Chancellor Palpatine who has been kidnapped by the cyborg, General Grievous, and is now held prisoner on his command vessel. The clone wars are nearly at an end and soon a new galactic empire will be formed and order 66 will be invoked, the Jedi will fight for their existence and the Sith shall have their revenge.

An assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala’s life leads to Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi, investigating and discovering the creation of a clone army and a bounty hunter called Jango Fett, elsewhere his apprentice young Anakin Skywalker is protecting Padmé but he is troubled by his forbidden love for her and visions of his dying mother. On Coruscant the senate debates wider powers for Chancellor Palpatine and the Jedi council led by Yoda fear the Sith have returned and that the dark side is clouding their powers of vision.

Blu Ray Film Reviews – Rio Bravo. A powerful rancher’s brother thinks he can kill a man and get away with it but he reckoned wrong, Sheriff John T. Chance arrests him and vows to hold him until the Marshal arrives but its going to be a long wait and the rancher’s hired guns are only too willing to shoot a man in the back for a gold coin. The Sheriff must hold his prisoner and all he has for help are a crippled old man, a drunk and a young gunfighter, he also has more than just a little interest coming his way from a woman called Feathers. Can Chance hold out or will he die trying.

Blu Ray Film Reviews – Charade. There is wonderful use of lighting in this film, you can see an example in the image to the right, the director of photography was Charles Lang, he had worked with Audrey Hepburn before on the film Sabrina and would work with her again on Paris When It Sizzles, How To Steal A Million and Wait Until Dark, Lang had been in the industry many years and was an experienced DP, his work on Charade is not his best but it is very good.

Jason and the Argonauts has everything you could possibly want in a fantasy movie, the plot is interesting and it has a beginning, a middle and almost an end, getting Bernard Herrmann to do the music score was also a stroke of genius, Herrmann’s score is very satisfying and really makes the film special. Ray Harryhausen considers Jason and the Argonauts his best film work.

The sound quality on Gone With The Wind is good, speech was clear and easy to understand and the music score sounds fabulous, the pops and crackles and hiss that old age brings on these films is gone. An epic love story that spans 12 years in the life of Scarlett O’ Hara, from the American Civil War to the forging of a new union and the rebuilding of Tara and the bonds in life that can never be broken, the end of the story is only the beginning, after all, tomorrow is another day.

Drag Me To Hell is not as effective as Night Of The Demon but does share similarities with a demon in both films and the button in Drag Me To Hell is a stand in for the parchment from the earlier film.

Blu Ray Film Review of Avatar. On the far off world of Pandora lies a precious metal called Unobtainium, humankind has come to Pandora to mine the planets precious metal and the company is being helped by the military but the local alien inhabitants, the Na’vi, find their culture and homes under threat of extinction. The Na’vi were brilliantly designed, you felt for these people and their way of life and i was engrossed in the movie from start to finish.
