Film News

Knight and Day starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz has been an unexpected flop, so desperate are they for publicity to promote the movies UK release that it seems Tom and Cameron are both going to appear on the BBC's Top Gear programme

Blu Ray Movie News

Gladiator was released on blu ray last year and was widely condemned for it's poor image quality which was due to overuse of DNR and edge enhancement, Paramount and Universal have now made a brand new master which looks fabulous and have instigated a disc exchange program, if you have the old release you can now exchange it for the new one. Please note if you are in Europe it will be late August before the disc exchange program becomes active. Proof that complaining does work OR did Ridley Scott demand this!

Major Issues List

Films on the major issues list have very serious problems with their transfer to Blu Ray. They will not be film like and may look very processed and less detailed. The titles on this list will have had either excessive digital noise reduction applied or excessive edge enhancement applied or both applied to them. They may also contain other issues as a result such as waxy looking faces or frozen grain structure. These transfers are ones which should have been a lot better.
