Naomi Watts was born on the 28th September 1968 in Shoreham, Kent, in the United Kingdom.
Although Naomi was born in the UK she moved to Australia when still a teenager and the interesting thing is she shares her birthday with me, ok that might not be so interesting but it caught my eye.
One of Naomi's best friends is Nicole Kidman who she met when they both auditioned for the part in a bikini commercial, both appeared in the 1991 film Flirting and Naomi worked as a nanny for Nicole and Tom Cruise when she was trying to get film roles in Hollywood.
Naomi turned down the part of Susan Storm in The Fantastic Four, the part went to Jessica Alba.
Her middle name is Ellen and she is married to Liev Schreiber and they have two children.
Her favourite scary movie is Don't Look Now.
Some of her movies include Tank Girl, Babe: Pig In The City, The Ring, 21 Grams, Ellie Parker, King Kong, Eastern Promises, Funny Games, The International and Mulholland Dr.
Future films to look out for are Fair Game, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, Dream House, My Name Is Jody Williams, We Are All The Same and the remake of Alfred Hitchcocks The Birds.

(Talking about her early work) There's a lot of skeletons in my closet, but I know what they're wearing. I'm not gonna act all ashamed of it.
For the record, I am actually British as well as Australian. People always think I'm Australian but I'm happy for the Brits to claim me back. I'm offering myself up.
If I have to produce movies, direct movies, whatever to change the way Hollywood treats older women, I'll do it. If I have to bend the rules, I will. If I have to break them, I will.
I'm a tomboy now. I always wanted to fit in with my brother's group, so I climbed trees and played with lead soldiers. But I'm a woman's woman. I never understood women who don't have woman friends.
Yeah, I suppose I am ordinarily drawn to the darker stuff. You won't find me in a romantic comedy. Those movies don't speak to me. People don't come to talk to me about those scripts, because they probably think I'm this dark, twisted, miserable person.
There's a set of rules out there somewhere that says it all ends by 40. I hope to be able to defy that because I truly love my work.
