Her real name is Audrey Kathleen Ruston, her father was a wealthy banker from England while her mother was a Baroness from Holland.

Her mother divorced her father in 1935 and Audrey spent her teenage years during World War II in German occupied Arnhem where she also worked as a volunteer nurse, she studied ballet but suffered hardship due to the war. Audrey had British citizenship and in 1948 she joined her mum in London and continued to study ballet while working as a model, she then pursued a career in acting and performed as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions, she appeared in several British films including The Lavender Hill Mob and also on Broadway in Gigi before hitting the big time with her Oscar winning role opposite Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday.

In The Secret People Audrey performed all of her own dancing, the film was made in 1952 and she played the part of a ballerina, Audrey could speak English, Spanish, French, Dutch/Flemish and Italian. She owned a Yorkshire terrier called Mr Famous, the poor dog got hit by a car and killed, that's a fabulous name for a pet though. She had more pets throughout her life and loved animals.

She had an affair with William Holden while making Sabrina in 1954, Holden was married but besotted by the beautiful Miss Hepburn, she hoped the relationship would go further and they would eventually get married and have children, after she was told by Holden that he was unable to have children due to a vasectomy she broke off their relationship.

She not only won an Oscar in 1954 for Roman Holiday but she also won a Tony award for her performance as a water spirit in the Broadway play Ondine, she is one of only three actresses to win a Tony award and an Oscar in the same year, the other actresses to do so are Shirley Booth and Ellen Burstyn. It was on the set of Ondine she met her husband Mel Ferrer, they stayed together for fourteen years and she had one child with him.

While filming The Unforgiven, a western with Burt Lancaster, Audrey fell off her horse and onto a rock and broke her back, this resulted in a miscarriage caused by stress, she took a year off work after this and successfully had a child, his name is Sean Hepburn Ferrer.

One of my favourite Hepburn roles is Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany's, she would cement her status as a fashion icon and movie star with this film, the writer, Truman Capote, was not happy with the casting, he wanted Marilyn Monroe, or the fact they radically changed his version and softened the sexual undertones, despite his objections the film earned her a fourth Oscar nomination, the little black dress that she wears in the film is considered to be an iconic piece of twentieth century clothing.

Miss Hepburn won the role of Eliza Doolittle despite very strong competition from Julie Andrews who had played the part on Broadway, Audrey was not considered a great singer and her vocals for some, but not all, of the singing parts were replaced with that of Marni Nixon, during re-releases of the film they have restored some of Miss Hepburn's singing back into the film, Miss Hepburn was very disappointed about her voice being dubbed over and later said she would not have taken the role if she had known this would happen.

In the film Wait Until Dark, Audrey played the part of a blind woman who is terrorised in her home by men looking for a doll stuffed with heroin, the film was made at the time of her marital breakdown with Ferrer, they would divorce a year later, she lost fifteen pounds while making the movie but her performance earned a fifth Oscar nomination. The director of Wait Until Dark was Terence Young, he joked about how in 1944 he had been a British army tank commander during the Battle of Arnhem and had shelled her.

She would go into semi-retirement after 1967 spending more time with her family, she returned to the cinema in 1976 to make Robin and Marian with Sean Connery, Connery would play an aged Robin Hood while Hepburn played Lady Marian, it's a good movie, a very different and more down to earth take on the legend, it has a beautiful ending.

Although Audrey would take on a few more film roles, they were sporadic, her last film role was of an angel in Steven Spielberg's remake of A Guy Named Joe, Always.

During her later life Audrey became a goodwill ambassador to UNICEF, she would travel all over the world trying to help those less fortunate than herself, she died in her sleep of appendiceal cancer on the 20th January 1993 at her home in Switzerland, after her death, longtime friend and fellow actor, Gregory Peck went on camera and recited her favourite poem Unending Love.

While Leslie was growing up she attended an all girl Catholic high school.

She started out in the world of modeling thanks to the Oprah Winfrey show and Elite Agency who held a nationwide search for new models, Leslie's mother sent in photo's of her daughter and she was hand picked by the judges as the winner, since then she has forged a career in television and film.

She graduated Edinboro university of Pennsylvania with a degree in creative writing and fine arts.

Sharon was a huge Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers fan and always wanted to be in the movies, she worked her way up by first becoming a model for Ford adverts and then in 1980 she made her film debut in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories although her first actual speaking part was in Wes Craven's Deadly Blessing.

In 1985 she appeared in King Solomon's Mines which was a number one hit at the American box office, that movie was shot at the same time as the sequel Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold.

In an interview Sharon later said about the infamous Basic Instinct interrogation scene that "I knew that we were going to do this leg-crossing thing and I knew that we were going to allude to the concept that I was nude, but I did not think that you would see my vagina in the scene. Later, when I saw it in the screening I was shocked. I think seeing it in a room full of strangers was so disrespectful and so shocking, so I went into the booth and slapped him and left"

Sharon made Sliver in 1993, at the time much was made of the sex scenes in the film although they are rather tame and there is little chemistry between her and her co-star William Baldwin.

His full name is John Christopher Depp II and his nicknames are Colonel and Mr Stench.

Johnny dropped out of school aged 15 to pursue a career as a rock musician, he was the lead singer in a number of bands including The Kids who were once the opening act for singer Iggy Pop.

His first movie role was A Nightmare On Elm Street, although a minor role Johhny had a memorable death scene, while working as a ballpoint pen salesman he met actor Nicolas Cage who suggested Depp get into acting, Depp took his advice and the rest is history.

Depp went on to have a small role in the multi Oscar winning Platoon before making his television debut in the hit show 21 Jump Street.

My favourite Depp film is The Ninth Gate, directed by Roman Polanski it's an atmospheric tale about devil worshippers and Satan himself, the music score is very good and some may say its slow moving but its a good well written dialogue driven film.

Johhny hit the bigtime and became a megastar after appearing as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean, the film was a massive worldwide hit and spawned two sequels, a third sequel titled On Stranger Tides is being made and plans are also in place for a fifth movie.

I recommend you also check out Depp's portrayal of Raoul Duke ( really he is portraying Hunter S Thompson ) in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, also check out Benicio Del Toro's performance, thats a weird and wacky movie and not for all tastes but it's fun and eye opening at times.

There has been internet rumours suggesting Mr Depp will be Doctor Who in a big screen version of the television series but that seems unlikely unless one of the movies in development has a secret code name ( possible ) I think Depp would make a great Doctor Who.

Known as being an Australian actress she was born in America, her parents are Australian and they moved back to Australia while Nicole was still young.
