Over the years many have come to view the movie as the weak link in the original Star Wars trilogy, Mr Lucas was trying to sell as many toys as he possibly could and it does not have the same tone or atmosphere as The Empire Strikes Back. The movie was filmed under the fake title of Blue Harvest, that title is inspired by a Dashiell Hammett story called Red Harvest.

Blu Ray Film Reviews – Charade. There is wonderful use of lighting in this film, you can see an example in the image to the right, the director of photography was Charles Lang, he had worked with Audrey Hepburn before on the film Sabrina and would work with her again on Paris When It Sizzles, How To Steal A Million and Wait Until Dark, Lang had been in the industry many years and was an experienced DP, his work on Charade is not his best but it is very good.

Blu Ray Film Reviews – The Evil Dead. The Evil Dead was one of the first films to be labelled a “video nasty” in the United Kingdom, the term video nasty came about because of heavy handed sensationalist newspaper reporting at the time and this in turn led to mass hysteria on the part of some politicians. Filmed in a real abandoned cabin in the woods, the film was shot in Tennessee after unsuccessful attempts to find a cabin in Michigan, the cabin used had to undergo extensive work as it was in poor condition.
