Blu Ray Screencaps – Lost Season Six: Disc One

Blu ray screencaps from Lost: Season Six Disc One.

In Season 5 of Lost we were introduced to time travel, i felt the season was weaker because of this, i didn't much care for this aspect of the show but the characters were still worth watching and i still enjoyed the show, i was hoping for the final season that we would get back to some of the more grounded episodes of the earlier seasons with more plausible explanations for what the island is and what the Dharma corporation were doing on the island, three episodes in and it looks like the writers are going to keep the god elements of Jacob and his brother the man in black, while i can enjoy all that i do believe it's a reason why the show's rating's declined.

We learn what the smoke monster is this season and it certainly plays more into the realm of fantasy than the realism i was hoping for when i first started watching the show, in the first three episodes we see what life would have been like for Kate, John Locke and Claire if the plane didn't crash on the island, it's good to finally see Emilie de Ravin return as Claire to the series, what is confusing in the early episodes is that they appear to be toying with alternate realities as the characters are still on the island and yet not. I'm hoping for great things with later episodes.

Since i do not wish to reveal any major plot points or give spoilers away i will move on to discussing the image quality of the first disc of Lost Season 6, disc 1 starts with a double episode and features three episodes in total, i was pleased by the quality of the picture on display, lots of detail, i spotted no issues with edge enhancement or compression problems, just a nice detailed high definition image, i was pleased by the quality of disc one of the final season of Lost.

Sound quality for a television show is good, the music score comes across especially well and you do get the occasional discrete surround effect in the rear speakers, speech was clear and easy to hear and the subwoofer while never going really low was used throughout the episodes.
