Blu Ray Screencaps of Hollow Man.

I didn't like Hollow Man much when i first viewed it but on a repeat viewing i found much to like about it. I felt it had a strong cast with good performances and very good direction by Paul Verhoeven. Verhoevens other sci-fi films include RoboCop, Total Recall and Starship Troopers. Hollow Man does get a little predictable in places and i did feel that maybe a top scientist would have used his invisibility for more than just sexual thrills but hey that's Hollywood for you, why go for the unexpected when you can go for the obvious. It didn't stop me enjoying the film.

In my opinion the image quality was very good although i am more critical on this repeat viewing and i must say that i did feel a few scenes had some minor grain reduction and if you check out frame 9 you may ask yourself if there is a touch of ringing in that scene.

Not too much to complain about and i felt the majority of the movie looked film like and detailed.

The sound mix was at times exciting with clear detailed speech, active surrounds and some nice deep bass, the sound on this disc is PCM uncompressed 5.1 and it's a fun lively sound mix. My original Blu Ray review of Hollow Man can be found here.
