Ridley Scott's new take on the Robin Hood story hits cinema's soon and it looks interesting.
This edition of Robin Hood deals in reality and begins after the death of King Richard The Lionheart.
The film will feature historically accurate characters and looks to be a much grittier take on the legend.
Sienna Miller was cast as Maid Marian but when the film was delayed, scheduling conflicts meant she had to drop out, many actresses were considered for the part but Kate Winslet became first choice before she declined and finally Cate Blanchett accepted the role.
Cast members include Kevin Durand, Matthew Macfadyen and Danny Huston as King Richard.
Cinematographer John Mathieson also worked on Kingdom Of Heaven and Gladiator.
The screenplay was by Brian Helgeland who also wrote the screenplay for the excellent L.A. Confidential, you can view some high definition screencaps from that movie here.
The film is released worldwide on the 14th of May 2010 and Ridley's next film as director is a much anticipated Alien prequel expected to be released sometime in 2011.
