Blu Ray Screencaps of The X Files: I Want To Believe.
I have been an X Files fan from series one onwards and have seen every single episode many times over and i also enjoyed the first movie a lot but i was hesistant about this film. I went into this reading some negative views and indeed i actually put off watching this for some time due to those negative views. I should just learn to ignore negativity since i enjoyed the film and found it to be well written and it was a joy to see Mulder and Scully again.
As far as this transfer to Blu Ray i thought it was cinematic and looked very good. Parts of this movie were shot with the Panavision Genesis digital camera as well as normal 35mm film, the snowy landscapes looked fabulous and i saw lots of fine detail in this transfer.
The sound mix was aggressive at times and there was good split surround activity throughout the movie. Speech was always clear and the film had some moments with nice deep bass. I felt this was a competent high quality mix, the sound codec used is dts-hd master audio.
Amanda Peet was a good addition to the cast and i think she's gorgeous with lovely blue eyes. I look forward to a third movie which i understand is in the works.
