HD screencaps from Terminator: Salvation on the Blu Ray format.
Teminator: Salvation is the fourth in the series of movies and this is the directors extended edition which includes about three minutes of extra footage not seen in cinemas.
I do not feel this version is particularly more violent even if the MPAA rates it R and indeed in the UK this version is rated 12, it's more likely the MPAA rates it R due to brief nudity and that's just ridiculous but then the MPAA seems to have issues with nudity or sex in general but Europe does not hence the lighter certificate but no matter as i felt the action content was superb.
I went into this fearing the worst but came out pleasantly surprised as i enjoyed the film a lot.
The transfer on this UK edition by Sony/Columbia is excellent and the sound mix is absolutely fabulous with crystal clear speech, constant split surround effects and very deep aggressive bass and for me this is a reference sound mix.
The film has a great chase scene as the motorbike terminators come after Marcus, Kyle Reese and the little mute girl. I also enjoyed Arnold Schwarzeneggers cameo appearance and thought it was very well executed with the original terminator theme sounding better than ever.
The director of this film gets a lot of stick but i personally enjoyed the first Charlie's Angels film and also enjoyed this fine sequel and he is going to be directing Terminator 5 also.
I must also mention the music score by Danny Elfman which i thought was brilliant.
