Blu Ray Screencaps of Doomsday.

Neil Marshall directed Doomsday and i enjoyed his previous films Dog Soldiers and The Descent. Doomsday isn't quite as good as those films but it still delivers some enjoyable entertainment.

I will post screencaps from The Descent in the near future but the only edition so far of Dog Soldiers on Blu Ray appears to be an upconvert with no extra detail over the DVD edition. I would describe this film as a mixture of Escape From New York meets Mad Max 2 with a touch of Gladiator and Outbreak thrown in for good measure. Although much of the film is set in Scotland it was mostly filmed in South Africa.

As far as image quality goes it's very good but i wondered if a little processing had gone on in some scenes and by that i mean a small amount of grain reduction and possible sharpening in a couple of scenes. That's probably not the case but it's worth mentioning. Some scenes had grain while other scenes had very little but it's likely that's just artistic intent.
