Charisma Carpenter was born on the 23rd July 1970 in Las Vegas and much to her disgust she was named after an Avon perfume. ( I like her name! )
After being noticed by Aaron Spelling on an episode of Baywatch he cast her in Malibu Shores.
That series was axed after just a short run but not to be disheartened Charisma auditioned for the lead role of Buffy The Vampire Slayer but lost out to Sarah Michelle Gellar, instead she was cast in the show as Cordelia.
She played the same character in the spin off series Angel which ran for five seasons.
Charisma has posed for Playboy magazine.
She does not charge a fee for autographs at Buffy fan conventions. ( Other cast members do )
