Neil Marshall directed Doomsday and i enjoyed his previous films Dog Soldiers and The Descent. Doomsday isn’t quite as good as those films but it still delivers some enjoyable entertainment, Although much of the film is set in Scotland it was mostly filmed in South Africa.

This movie was shot in the same way as Sin City but unlike that movie this one unfortunately plays like a bad comedy, and by that i meant it just isn’t funny and nor is it exciting enough to pass itself off as an action movie or a thriller.

I enjoyed this movie and thought the image quality was very good. The film reminded me of the television show Heroes and the director was fond of closeups which showed great detail on this blu ray disc. I didn’t see any compression issues which stood out to me and most people will consider this disc excellent.

Anne Hathaway was born on the 12th of December 1982 and her star sign is Sagittarius. Anne became a worldwide star in The Princess Diaries in 2001 and a sequel soon followed in 2004.

The film’s natural grain structure has been wiped clean by overuse of DNR and i believe scratch removal tools have also been used on this transfer.

Guillermo Del Toro was asked to direct this film but turned it down as he wanted to work on Hellboy II and it’s a shame as i feel Del Toro could have added so much to the Harry Potter films especially with his fantastic eye for visuals and unique imagination.

Also out in April is the theatrical editions of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Personally i will wait until the extended editions hit the market but this should please many people.

David Finchers Zodiac was shot using the Thomas Viper Filmstream camera system and Zeiss Digiprime lenses. Some sequences were filmed with normal 35mm camera’s.

Charisma auditioned for the lead role of Buffy The Vampire Slayer but lost out to Sarah Michelle Gellar, instead she was cast in the show as Cordelia.
