Romancing The Stone is released by Twentieth Century Fox on Blu Ray. This disc is Region coded A but i would imagine the exact same transfer is released throughout the world.
This film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito and it's a hugely entertaining old fashioned adventure with a touch of romance thrown in for good measure.
The transfer to Blu Ray is excellent with high detail levels and there is a light grain structure to the image which has not been tampered with in a negative way.
I saw no issues with edge enhancement nor did i see any compression problems with the transfer and i feel what is on this disc represents the look of the original film.
I recommend this film not only because the transfer is so good with excellent image and sound quality but because the film itself is superb.
Once you open the Blu Ray screenshot you may need to click the frame again for the full HD image to appear. These Blu Ray frames are captured directly off the disc.
