Is this the JBL from AVS Forums ?

I didn’t actually see it at the cinema so have no comparison with regards the colour of some scenes.

I’ll take the colour being slightly off in a few scenes as long as they don’t use their tools on it to add artificial sharpness or remove detail by overuse of digital noise reduction.

You are right though in saying things like colour do sometimes get changed when these things get re-released but i can only imagine Spielberg signed off on the actual transfer as we all know he really directed it and has a lot of say on how his films are presented in the home.

Incidentally this is not the original six track soundtrack from the 70mm prints. This one has some discrete split surround activity going on so has to be a new home remix but i think they used the 6 track 70mm sound to create it.

I think you should give Poltergeist a chance as it looks very good.

Is it just that one scene that bothers you or is there more scenes where you think the colour has been altered ?

This is one that I sadly brought on DVD and will not touch with 10 foot barge pole on BLUCRAP disc! I have but a few shameful BLUCRAP discs that are fit enough for cat to take a crap on! BLURAY is really CON FORMAT! Its ether got rushed out recycled titles (mastered for the new edition DVD) where colour balance looks nothing like not even close or near to seeing this projected in the cinema! Green smearing! Look at the screenshot where the light is coming from the child’s bedroom closest. The blue WTF that Blue wasn’t on the cinema release! Forget EE and DNR if you can’t see the colour as been total manipulated, you must be colour blind, or they are who ever that person is, I want his f)king name to put up on the internet to shame them! They have totally f^*iing ruined the film and my day! Least the soundtrack six-Dolby stereo is original with the monaural surrounds and everything else over the LCR and the occasional now and then LFE.1 Do not Buy Poltergeist on Bluray it’s a waste of MONEY!
